The Perspectives Podcast

Oct 16, 2020

In this episode, Josue and Chase have David Miranda join us to add his perspective on the cultural conversation surrounding faith, race, systemic racism, and previous injustices.

We discuss racism being a sin, the difficulty in measuring when it comes to racism, both policies and cultural attitudes we have to pay attention to, taking the approach of incremental progress and reducing of racism through time and the generations, addressing the roots of problems through knowing God’s heart more, Tzedek Mishpat, data related to race, seeing issues both from a macro and micro level, the need to be morally and logically consistent, how to account for previous injustices, the balance of restorative justice and forgiveness in the Bible, and how to approach tough conversations with humility and love and questions.
